Dan Yeabsley

Dan Yeabsley is a multi-instrumentalist and a pillar of the Wellington jazz community. Best known for his foundational work on the double bass and his soulful, gritty baritone saxophone playing, Yeabsley embodies a grounded, blues-inflected approach to jazz. A founding member of several iconic New Zealand ensembles, including The Troubles and Twinset, his musicality is defined by an unerring sense of rhythm and a deep commitment to the "groove." Yeabsley’s versatility and steady presence make him one of the most respected and frequently recorded artists in the region.
