"A first-rate album which has deep jazz roots but also has a particularly free, modern sound. A highlight is the exhilarating listen of the nearly 20-minute title track, with the trio's level of cohesion and mutual understanding making it hard to distinguish improvised from composed parts". London Jazz News

The title is derived from a poem about New Zealand soldiers returning home after serving in World War 1 and the music was originally commissioned by the New Zealand government as part of the WW100 commemorations to mark the centenary of the Great War.

Personnel: John Rae - drums Brian Kellock - piano Patrick Bleakley - bass
