Flamingovision, the latest release from New Zealand-based saxophonist and composer Oscar Lavën, is a celebration of flamboyance, musical spontaneity and the creative energy of collaboration. Recorded together in close quarters in a single room, the ensemble captures the immediacy and excitement of musicians responding to one another in the moment.
Moving through a kaleidoscopic mix of sounds and textures, the music embraces an adventurous, electric spirit, placing exuberance, individuality and personality at the forefront.
